I just helped a bride find the contact info for event rentals at the Royal Conservatory of Music on Bloor. It's a lovely space for weddings. The event contact page is a bit buried in the website, so here is the info:

A Royal Conservatory Wedding - and a Philosopher's walk elopement

The 'big' wedding at the Royal Conservatory was lovely today. Great Views from the Board Room at the top, where the groomsmen hung out.

But if you aren't having a big elaborate wedding, why not choose Philosophers Walk, right down below the Conservatory glass windows? It is lovely and green, and has lots of little nooks. We could see it delightfully from the glass windows at the Conservatory...

Here is a couple getting married in the little rock amphitheatre behind the Music Building (just up from Trinity College). No permit needed - but best for a group under 12.

You may obtain a marriage license from any municipality in Ontario, and use the license in Toronto or any other Ontario city. The fee can be paid by cash, money order, certified cheque, or credit card. The City will not refund marriage license fees once a license has been issued. The license is good for 3 months, and there is no waiting period for marriages; you can obtain the license and be married the same day. Either or both of the persons to be married may obtain the license.
